Step it up, Josh

Up til now I've had absolutely no complaints about Josh's role in the whole taking care of Tomie thing. He is an amazing partner and father and I can honestly say that I thought that Tomie has equally bonded with both of us. Notice I said, "thought," as in past tense. What changed you may ask? Before I divulge, allow me a bit of a digression.

Breastfeeding sucks. No really, it does. Ha ha. And besides the bad pun, like many new moms, it has taken a bit of work to get it just right. We're finally getting the hang of it but for a while it was one thing after another. I can't complain too much because I've heard a lot of horror stories from other moms. But let me just say it was not fun. And through all the challenges, Josh has stood by me, sympathetic and supportive. But in this case, I couldn't just hand Tomie over to him because he just couldn't help me. This was one thing that only I could do.

Or so we thought.

What's up Josh? I thought we were in this together. If you were a truly devoted father, you'd want to do everything for your daughter, right? So start lactating!
