Oops

Okay okay so yes, the dissertation is done. So I've transferred my propensity to procrastinate over to the maintanence of this blog. While I was slaving away at the dissertation, I would constantly be hit with things that I NEEDED to get down on this blog. But now....nothing. It's not that Tomie isn't doing cute things, nor is there a shortage of adorable pictures. I've just...lost...the...will. (Maybe if I got more comments...HEH)

But here are some pix followed up with some general observations about what the little one is doing.

Her first Halloween. Grandma bought her this adorable Halloween outfit. And sadly you can't see the really adorable candy corn appliques on the leg of the pants. It took every fiber of my being to stop myself from buying an additional costume. Not because it would be cute or anything, but because I was so tempted by the prospect of pimping my child out for candy. This will be the last time that we can go trick or treating and whe won't be demanding her share of the candy. Grrr....

She has a larger than life personality. Right now she is finding her voice. And it is large. She squeals at the top of her lungs while playing and it is truly earthshattering. Tomie is no shrinking violet...(shrieking violet, maybe).

Tomie is loving solids and we are working on her finger food ability. She has these little cheeto puff star thingies (which just can't be good for her) and she has been working on getting them in her mouth. She's getting loads better at it. Why just yesterday I think she was 6 for 30.

She is showing no signs of wanting to crawl. Mostly because she rolls pretty well now. Course it is a bit difficult to totally steer when you're rolling, but it gets her where she needs to go. That's just how she rolls.

At day care, Tomie is gradually transitioning to the mobile infant area. She apparently loves it because it gives her wide open spaces to roll to her heart's content. Although she does love to roll to the littler babies in the non-mobile infant area and hold their hands from time to time, I think she's ready to roll with the big dogs.

Finished the dissertation? As in pau? Is it true? When can we see a copy of it to verify its completion? Tomie is cute but cries whenever she sees me so I try to hide from her whenever I'm at LTSC. She is cute though. Much cuter than her father. Aloha!
